Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)
Eyes are the most expressive features of a female's body. They truly express a female's feelings, emotions and state of mind. Unfortunately, the eye area often shows the earliest signs of ageing, or any other kind of stress that we may be having. One can have visually unattractive features like folds or wrinkles around the eyes, the upper and lower eyelids may develop 'bags' or swelling and puffiness. Such droopy eyelids give a tired haggard appearance and make you look several years older than your actual age. The removal of fat deposits, muscle and excess skin around the upper and lower lids can dramatically change your appearance and erase years from your face. Eyelid surgery or blepharoplasty can correct sagging eyelids, remove fatty pouches beneath the eyes and remove excess skin from the upper eyelids. Blepharoplasty can be done alone or in conjunction with other facial surgery procedures such as a facelift, a brow lift or laser skin resurfacing. An incision is made below the eyelashes in lower lid and along the creases of upper eyelid by the surgeon. These incisions may extend to the outer corner of the eyes.
